2019 Masters Sleepers
Looking for some Masters longshots to win golf's 1st major of the year? Here are some interesting sleeper picks that should make the cut at Augusta and even have an outside shot to win or place top 10 in the tourney. All should be great prices at DraftKings.
- PAUL CASEY ($9,000) - At $9,000 at DraftKings, Casey might not be considered a huge longshot, but with the incredible field, he still is a nice Masters sleeper pick. Casey has finished in the top 15 for the last 4 Masters tournaments which is excellent and should put up great points even if he doesn't win if the trend continues. He is also in good form, just recently winning the Valspar Championship. At over a $2,000 discount to the top favorites (D. Johnson and R. McIlroy), we consider Casey a bargain!
- HIDEKI MATSUYAMA ($8,700) - Again, not the cheapest Masters sleeper, but Matsuyama has a good shot to finish top 10 and isn't a big longshot to win it all. We like playing guys who are in good form and Matsuyama just finished 8th in the Players Championship so he is ready for a major win. This guy deserves it.
- CHARLEY HOFFMAN ($6,800) - Hoffman is more of a deep sleeper for the Masters, but when you look at his history at the course, you would think much differently. Simply put, Hoffman loves Augusta and also seems to round into season form at this time of year. Hoffman has finished in the top 30 each of the last 4 Masters Tournaments and has a 9th and a 12th place finish in the books. Although quite an underdog to win the Green Jacket, you just never know! His play IS heating up though...
- Matt Kuchar ($7,900) - The guy who always seems to play well, but just never wins... If you want a guy who will likely make the cut and "be around" for the whole tourney, "Kooch" is your guy! Kuchar has made the cut at the Masters 9 years in a row now with a 4th, 5th, 8th and several top 25 finishes. He is also relatively hot this year and has not missed any cuts at all in 9 tourneys finishing in the top 10 three times with 1 win. You can do a lot worse than Kuchar at higher prices making him a steal and a great sleeper pick at DraftKings!
